Staying at Porth Eryri

You will receive an email seven days before your arrival with your check-in details and key safe code. Each cabin has a key safe by the door, allowing you to check in easily and without contact.

Late arrivals are absolutely fine as you can access your cabin using the code.

Each cabin has a kitchenette, which includes a dual hob, microwave and a small fridge/freezer.

Outside, there is a firepit/bbq area. Tryfan and Moel Siabod cabins have a pizza oven underneath the firepit, whilst Y Foel Las and Garn Prys have a separate pizza oven.
Although called a pizza oven, we have had guests make lasagnes and roast all sorts in there!

Each cabin includes bed linen and one bath towel and one hand towel per person.

The kitchen area is equipped with essential self-catering items including plates, cups, glasses, mugs and a cafetière.

You will also find a small cleaning starter pack which includes a sponge, kitchen cloth, tea towel, kitchen roll, washing-up liquid and hand soap.  Toilet roll is also provided to get you started.

Please note that the cabins are self-catering and toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel are not provided.

Yes, all cabins have a private wood fired hot tub included in your stay.

We do not currently offer a pre lit service, but we are more than happy to help you with your fires when you’re here. If you would like guidance, please give us a call or text and we will pop in to help.

Each cabin receives a starter supply of firewood on arrival, including some firelighters and lighter, a bag of kindling, a bag of fire bricks and two packs of logs.

If you plan to use the fire pit regularly you may wish to bring additional firewood or purchase more locally.  Guests often bring walking boots, swimwear and an extra towel for the hot tub as the towels provided are intended for indoor use.

Campfires are not allowed around the site or in the surrounding woodland.  However, each cabin has a firepit/bbq for you to enjoy (and toast those marshmallows!!).

Yes. The cabins are very cosy, even in the colder months. Each cabin has a log burner, which heats them very effectively, and there is also an electric towel rail in the bathroom.  We also have plenty of throws and blankets to snuggle under.

Yes. There is Wi-Fi available in each cabin and mobile phone signal across the site.

Each cabin also has a smart TV, allowing you to log in with your own Netflix, Disney+, iPlayer or other streaming accounts.

The site is very peaceful at night. There are fairy lights around the decking area and a porch light for each cabin.

Outdoor lighting is intentionally kept minimal as the site is located in a dark sky area. This helps preserve the natural setting and allows guests to enjoy clear views of the night sky and stars.

Yes, you can park your car directly behind your cabin.

Electric vehicle charging points are planned for the site and are expected to be installed in the coming months.  At the moment charging from the cabins is not permitted, but there are several fast charging points nearby.

Unfortunately the cabins are not suitable for wheelchair access. There is a step into the cabins and the smaller cabins have spiral staircases leading to the beds.

Yes. There are several shops and supermarkets within a short drive of the site.  Betws-y-Coed is a 5 mile drive, and has a couple of convenience stores.  The next town, Llanrwst, is 9 miles from us and has more choices of essential shops.

We have a local area page on our website with suggestions for places to visit and things to do nearby.  After booking you will also receive a welcome guide with lots of helpful recommendations

We do not currently offer decorations or added extras.  However, if you have special requests, please get in touch to discuss.

There is a florist in the nearby village and we can provide their details if you would like flowers waiting in your cabin.

Booking and managing my stay

Check-in days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Midweek stays have a minimum of two nights and weekend stays have a minimum of three nights.

During summer holidays and other peak holiday periods the minimum stay is usually three nights.  Please get in touch if you have specific requirements and we will try to help if we can.

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate 1 night stays.

Our cabins are designed for different types of stays.

The A-frame cabins, Garn Prys and Y Foel Las, are designed for two adults and are perfect for couples looking for a peaceful or romantic getaway.

The larger cabins, Tryfan and Moel Seabed, can sleep up to five people.  We recommend these for four adults and one child, as the bunk above the double bed is more suitable for a child.

Yes. Group bookings are welcome, and solo travellers are also very welcome as bookings are charged per cabin rather than per person.

Each cabin is designed for a specific number of guests and facilities such as the hot tubs are sized accordingly.  There is no large communal space for groups to gather, so group stays work best when guests are happy to enjoy their own cabin space.

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on site as there are farm animals in the surrounding area.

A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking and the remaining balance is due four weeks before your stay.

You can change your booking date up to one month before arrival.  For cancellations and full details of our policy please refer to our terms and conditions:
